I know I say it a lot, but classic looks are just the way to go. I don’t think a coat like this will ever go out of style (and it’s on sale for under $60 right now!). It’s the perfect winter version of a traditional trench, so it goes with just about anything. The camel color is perfect for pairing with denim and black for a clean, but stylish look.

I got this tie-neck top a couple months ago and didn’t wear it until now. It’s kind of sophisticated and more 9 to 5 office style than my usual wear, so I wasn’t sure how to style it. Then it hit me: I could dress it down with some distressed denim. Perfect! I think the trendy shoes really helped even out the overall look as well. Style is just really all about balance. As are most things I guess.

I tried a black bag first, but I thought it made the overall look fall a little flat. So to add some dimension to the outfit, I wore my Taxidermy crossbody. This bag not only adds a chic print, but also some texture. Definitely the better choice. I don’t immediately think of pairing cognac and grey prints, but for some reason, this just works.

What’s your favorite classic winter look?
