Old Navy Twill Field Jacket, military jacket, earth tones, transitional outfit ideas, what to wear in the fall, fall outfit ideas

Well, it’s that time of year where the weather just has no consistency whatsoever. A few days ago we had ice and snow and today it’s 70 degrees outside. Mornings are slightly chilly and then by afternoon you have to blast the a/c. Deciding what to wear can be tough, but I think I found my favorite new solution: a light military jacket.

I kept this beige knit dress in my fall/winter closet because I thought it’d be a good transition dress from summer to fall, but I actually didn’t end up wearing it until now. The color feels more fall than winter to me, but so does this weather so why not. I put on my new green jacket for a little contrast and then wore my brown suede wedges to continue with the earth tones color palette.

I’m not usually one for pendant necklaces. I mean, I like them enough but I just don’t wear them often. But this outfit really needed a little something. I came across this old favorite and decided to wear it backwards to hide the stones. Don’t you just love wearing things backwards or in a way they weren’t intended to be worn? No? That’s just me? Ok.

What’s your go-to jacket for this time of year?
