Sydney Opera House, sydney travel guide, what to do in sydney, summer outfit ideas, sydney bridge, off the shoulder bell sleeve crop top

The Sydney Opera House is one of the most well-known buildings in the the world. It was obviously on my list when I decided to visit Sydney and it did not disappoint. From a distance, the opera house is a really cool building, but the real beauty is when you get up close. The first time I saw it was from Circular Quay and it was much smaller than I expected. Luckily, anyone can just walk up to the building and walk around. When I got closer, I was able to see the stunning details as well as the true size of the iconic Sydney Opera House.

From afar, it looks to be all plain white, but when you get close, you can see that the roof is actually made up of tiles in two colors–white and cream–and is designed in a subtle chevron pattern. The details are stunningly gorgeous. I just couldn’t resist touching the tiles! I didn’t get a professional shot close up, but you can see on my Instagram here.

Sadly, I didn’t get a chance to see a show here, but there’s another attraction I’d recommend: Opera Bar. This outdoor bar/restaurant is right next to the opera house and is a prime spot to sip some rosé and watch the sunset. My sister and I went a couple times and both times were pretty packed. Defo recommend the fries. So good!

For a day strolling around the opera house and hanging at Opera Bar, I wore one of my favorite tops. It combines all the best trends: off the shoulder, bell sleeves, lace, and cropped cut. I mean, does it get any better? I have to wear high rise bottoms with crop tops–can’t be too scandalous–so I wore my current favorite cutoffs, levi’s, of course. And I got these shoes in the mail the day before I left for Australia. I knew I had to bring them and I ended up wearing them a lot. They’re so perfectly versatile for my lifestyle. I love them!
