Now that it’s officially spring, I’m officially wearing all white, all the time. Ok not really, but is there anything better than head-to-toe white? I wore it here with two nice, subtle but special accents: snakeskin printed flats and a light blue EILEEN FISHER jacket. I love the casual, minimal vibes the look gives off. What’s great about this jacket is that it’s very light; it’s actually made with gauzy organic linen, quilted to fine cotton at a specialized embroidery factory in Italy. The quality is incredible and it provides just the right amount of warmth I need in the spring.
I actually wore this outfit to the spring/summer EILEEN FISHER show at Saks in Phipps Plaza. It was a blast! I co-hosted the event and brought in three pieces from my closet to mix and match with the current line. What a fun idea, right?!
I loved the whole collection, but if I had to pick a favorite, I think it would have to be the silk georgette duster in bone. It is just so incredibly stunning to me. I think I’d wear it nonstop if I bought it. One thing I thought was cool about the show is we paired whites with bone. It looked so great, and I’m totally going to steal that styling tip!
After the fashion show of the spring/summer collection, I shopped and mingled with guests. I met the coolest lady who, after seeing my outfit, got inspired and bought the entire look! She was about 80 years old, from Paris, and so incredibly friendly. I want to be just like her when I’m older! She said she usually wears all black, but loved the way I styled the jacket. What a compliment!
I love that about EILEEN FISHER – the clothes work for any age, any country, and any woman. Timeless is always a good bet! Especially when it comes to getting those quality pieces and wardrobe staples.
What are your favorite spring staples?
