2015 Goals: Health

I recently shared my blogging goals and finance goals, but perhaps the most important set of goals to have is health goals. After all, health is the most important thing in anyone’s life. No matter what size you are, it’s important to eat right and be active, which is why I set some personal health goals this year.
1. Eat less dairy
I’m already a vegetarian and while I strongly feel that a life without cheese is not one worth living (maybe that’s a little dramatic but seriously, I love cheese), I definitely do want to cut back on my dairy intake. I drink soy or almond milk in my coffee and opt for dairy-free as often as I can. A tasty treat Silk dairy-free yogurt alternative with some granola and fruit in the morning is the perfect way to start the day dairy-free.
2. Get active
Working from home is amazing, I’m not going to lie, but I literally barely ever move. Unless it’s to the kitchen to get coffee or some food. So I definitely have to make a conscious effort to be more active. One of my goals this year is to do more yoga to start my morning and take walks. Though that second one might have to wait until it warms up outside…
3. Eat more veggies
While I do already try to eat veggies with every meal and honestly love the taste of a lot of them (kale is my spirit animal), I could definitely do a better job of not eating straight up bread and cheese for every meal. It’s a problem that I really need to control. I think a great way to eat more veggies (and fruits!) is to start juicing. Any tips on a great juicer?
What are your 2015 health goals? How do you plan to achieve them?

Right now I’m a stay at home mom so I definitely get the need to stay more active and exercise more. I used to work multiple jobs so I was always moving but now that I stay home I find myself sitting around A LOT. I’ve started to do exercises while my daughter naps.lol It’s a step!

Hi Megan! These are some great goals for this year. I have the Champion Juicer, and I really like it. There are very few parts, plus it’s easy to clean and assemble. It’s not the cheapest, but it’s also not the most expensive either. It’s very well constructed, too. There are two types of juice machines, so make sure . This is a great book to have on hand – it’s titled ‘The Juicing Bible’, by Pat Crocker. It’s got alot of very helpful info about healthy body systems and foods, and it has tons of recipes (many with leafy greens). Anyway, hope this helps you with your search for a juicer. Have a great day!

Thanks so much for the tips! I’ll definitely have to check that book out. Leafy greens are the best!!

Oops! I didn’t finish my sentence about the two types of juice machines (masticating and centrifugal). Make sure to look into the differences between the two types before you make a purchase. Just a little tip there. 🙂

I definitely will look into that. Thank you!
