This past weekend I had the most amazing opportunity to participate in a panel with some fellow bloggers at America’s Mart. We gathered in Atlanta at the Apparel show downtown to talk to business owners about working with bloggers. It was my first public speaking experience and I was surprisingly calm. I think begin beside such amazing women made me feel much more comfortable!

I joined Kristin of Living in Color Print, Beth of Seersucker & Saddles, Grace of A Southern Drawl and Michelle of Tres Carmen Boutique on stage as we discussed the benefits of blogger campaigns and blogging as a business. The next day, we had a second mini panel where we talked about how we earn our income and affiliate marketing. I always love sharing my blogging tips (which is why I have my Blog Talk series! What topic do you want to see next, by the way?) so it was really awesome to be able to participate! After the mini panel we joined some fellow bloggers in a blogger crawl all over the mart. It was so cool to see all the upcoming spring releases from so many wonderful brands and retailers!

I decided to go with a relaxed 70s vibe for the panel. My first thought was to dress professionally in a blazer, but then I went with the total opposite. I’m not like a buttoned up professional. I’m a style and travel blogger and I like to be comfortable, so I’m gonna do me! It was such a fun experience and I definitely want to head back for more markets in the future!

Have you ever participated in a panel discussion?
