A Weekend with the Bestie

This weekend, my best friend of almost 15 years came to visit Johnny and me with her perfect little family. She was my first friend when I moved to Florida before we started high school and we have so many fun memories together. Now that she has a two year old, we’re both in serious relationships, and have our careers, our idea of fun has definitely changed. It’s so funny to take a look back at how much things have changed. But of course, change is a very important part of life and I’m glad to be where I am now.
On the first night, we started her visit with a trip to Trader Joe’s. We were legit excited to go grocery shopping together since she doesn’t live near a Trader Joe’s, plus we obvi had to get a case of two buck chuck. That night we had a wine night and caught up on everything new in each other’s life. Aren’t wine nights the best?
On Saturday, we all went to brunch at West Egg and then did a little tour of Atlanta. Since it was so chilly out, I bundled up in 4 layers: a long sleeved shirt, a flowy button down, a (faux) leather jacket and a coat. Later that night, we went to dinner and since it was a little colder, all I had to do was swap out my pumps for some warm over the knee boots. Somehow, we ended up getting a bottle of wine and dessert for free that night. Looks like we still got it 😉

She left last night and I miss her so much already! Although it sucks that we don’t live closer to each other, I am so grateful to have such a special friendship with someone who knows me better than anyone. Love you, Meghann!
Do you have a long distance BFF?

I have a long distance BFF named Brittany that lives in Seattle. It was so hard to move away to San Diego without her. I haven’t seen in her in almost 2 years now. Happy you got to spend some time with your BFF. Wine nights are always good.
