Atlanta is full of incredible fine dining options, fun bars and quick burger joints. Before I moved here, I really had no idea what a social city Atlanta really is, but there are several establishments throughout town that prove it is. One area in particular I have come to love is midtown west. Last week, I had the chance to spend my Sunday at Ormsby’s, “a classic neighborhood tavern” in the area.

Ormsby’s is a fun restaurant/bar that features bocce ball, backgammon, skeeball, darts and more. It’s a great place to gather with a group of friends and have a great time. The full bar features tons of beer options and they offer yummy eats as well. The boiled peanuts are a true southern favorite. They come seasoned with Cajun spices and I couldn’t get enough! The hand-cut fries are also great and come with plenty of sauce options.

For my meal, I tried the eggplant parmesan sandwich, which was incredible. The flavors were just right and the bread was perfectly crispy on the outside. My friends and I sat at a large table and decided to play some fun drinking games. Ormsby’s provided us with board games and a deck of cards and we ended up playing for hours. I’m sure we were a little loud, but it was all cool with the Ormsby’s staff. The atmosphere was very fun and laidback and I felt comfortable the whole time.

Overall, I had a great experience at Ormsby’s. The food was great, the service was accommodating and the drinks were refreshing. I honestly can’t wait to go back and have some more fun!

Have you ever been to Ormsby’s? What did you think of the restaurant and bar?
