Getting back into the groove of going to school can be tough. You have to wake up early, keep a schedule and worst of all, actually work. But whether you’re about to go to your first day of high school or finally finishing up that master’s degree, you need a solid beauty plan.
Giving off the right impression to others is important. You don’t want to come off as if you only care about your appearance because then teachers will take note (sad, but often true!). You also don’t want to look like a slob because well, just ew. We all know taking care of ourselves and being properly dressed is important, but when it comes to hair and makeup, things can get tricky. I tend to follow the mantra Less is More.
On your first day back in the classroom, keep it natural with your look. Overall coverage should be kept to a minimum (use as much concealer as you need, though) and just barely give your face some color with some sheer blush. Swipe some champagne shimmer on your lids and apply mascara and you’re good to go.
As for the hair, I always think braids are a great option for school. They’re quick, easy, and they keep your hair out of your way. If you’d rather wear your hair down, but don’t necessarily have the time to style it (let’s be honest, waking up early on that first day is going to be tough!), then try out this easy method to wavy hair.
Nails are also important for the first day of school. Make sure you either paint your nails or leave them bare. Chipped polish is never a good look. Trust me, you can tell a lot about a person just by looking at their fingernails.
What is your back to school beauty routine?
