I’m so excited about today’s post because it’s about someone who is very special to me. I’m teaming up with Dove to share an inspiring woman in my life. For the first time in nearly 60 years, the iconic is changing its look to celebrate the women who inspire us. Each bar will be engraved with a word (love, real, kind, care) to symbolize the impact women have.

When it comes to inspiring women, there is always one person who immediately comes to mind for me: my grandmother. My grandma is the coolest, strongest, most inspiring and most beautiful person I’ve ever known. Despite everything she’s been through in her life, she remains caring, loving and always, always there for me and my family.

Last year we suffered a devastating loss in our family. Sadly, this wasn’t the first time my grandma has felt this kind of grief and pain. And while it is definitely hard for her, she hasn’t missed a beat at being the matriarch of our family. I’m lucky to have a really amazing family who supports me in following my dreams and doing what makes me happy, but no one is more supportive than grams. She constantly lifts me up and encourages me to travel, have fun, and enjoy my youth.

I am proud to say that my grandma is my best friend. I’m lucky to have such an incredibly inspiring role model in my life who does not judge, gives the best advice and really knows how to have a good time. I love that I can tell her absolutely anything and I love hearing her thoughts and stories in return. It makes me happy that Dove is a brand that truly celebrates women and I’m glad I could join in to share how strong and beautiful my own grandmother is.
