One of the best things about Atlanta is the amazing selection of restaurants that are locally owned by passionate and very talented chefs. Whenever someone visits, my list of activities for us is like 90% restaurants. There are just so many wonderful places that I love sharing with visitors; so inspired by the Taste Buds YouTube series, I decided to do a post here to share with anyone that may be visiting soon. Here are the places I’d go for a perfect day of eating in the ATL.

Coffee & Croissant at The Little Tart Bakeshop
This is my all time favorite place for pastries. The coffee, provided by Octane is ok, but the pastries are just out of this world. My favorites in particular are the croissant, the cheese puff and the morning bun. I have never tasted a pastry from anywhere that even comes close to this deliciousness. I’m pretty sure the chef is either from France or trained there so that explains it.

Breakfast at Ria’s Bluebird
Ria’s was my first breakfast love in Atlanta. My boyfriend and I went there every single weekend for a while. Sadly, the chef Ria passed away about a year ago and it hasn’t been quite the same in quality and service. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still my favorite brunch place in Atlanta, but there’s definitely a noticeable change. Still, the pancakes are the best in the country, according to me and the New York Times.

Lunch & Margs at Taqueria Del Sol
What’s a perfect day without margaritas and queso? Not perfect. I’ve always been a huge fan of mexican food and Taqueria Del Sol takes the cake in this category. Not only is their queso the best, but they’re very reasonably priced and provide a cool, laid-back atmosphere, which is exactly what margs call for, right?

Dinner & BYOB at Antico
I love BYOB restaurants. It’s so much cheaper, plus you can bring exactly what you want and would usually drink. But the nontraditional drink option isn’t why I go to Antico. It’s the pizza. In particular, the bianca. This traditional Neapolitan style pizza takes less than 30 seconds in the Italian stone fire ovens to fully cook, making the service extremely quick. The cool family style seating is a plus, but getting a seat can be really difficult, especially during dinner and on the weekends. But it’s so worth it!

Ok, now I’m really hungry. But these really are the best restaurants in Atlanta, so I encourage you to try them if you’re ever in the area! If you’re looking for some inspo to reignite some love for your own town, check out the Taste Buds Nashville episode below.
