Blogging and Coffee

Every once in a while, I get bored with working from home. Don’t get me wrong–it’s the most amazing thing in the world–but as someone who constantly needs something new, a change in scenery of the everyday is much appreciated. Earlier this week I decided to explore the downtown area in my small Alabama hometown. I was pleasantly surprised. There was so much charm and I stocked up on some pretty pics for Instagram after walking around and capturing the quaint area.
I finally settled at this little coffee shop cafe and began working. While it is definitely chilly here, it’s actually not too cold to work outside – especially in the sun, which I loved! My photographer arrived just in time and we snapped some pics as I finished up some emails. There’s nothing better than multitasking amiright?!

When I got to a good stopping point in my work, I continued to explore the area and by the time I finally headed home, I was feeling extra inspired. It’s so nice to break the routine every once in a while and explore. It’s easy to get caught up in work, but I’m making it a point to focus on that balance. Plus a good break usually leaves me feeling more excited to work. Can’t wait for my next inspiring adventure.
Where do you get your inspiration?

There’s this cute little bakery called Maxie B’s in Greensboro, NC where I go to when I need a change of scenery. It’s super quiet and inspiring.

Sounds so cute! That’s perfect. We all need a place like that to go!

I love the idea of working at a coffee shop for a change of scenery – I’m definitely going to incorporate that into my freelance routine this week!

Fantastic casual outfit! I like your loafers very much and relaxing at a cafe over a cup of coffee makes any blogging work easier for me too! 🙂

Love your sweater! I don’t work from home, but I have the option from time-to-time, and you’re right sometimes a change of scenery is just what you need for a burst of inspiration!

When I’m stuck working from home it’s so hard to be productive, chores distract me the most! Will definitely have to attempt working from a coffee shop next time!

I like changing up my scenery every so often too! Sometimes I work from a different room in my house or I’ll head down to a coffee shop. I’m going to use this as an excuse to try out some more coffee shops in my area! 🙂

Lovely photos! I really miss having a coffee shop around I feel comfortable working in. Everywhere in my hometown has awful plastic seats and there’s no way to focus for me. I miss Starbucks, specifically, tbh. /o\ But I want to make more of an effort to work at this one restaurant/bar/thing I’ve always liked. It’s not perfect but it might do me good to change my own scenery. I like routine, but I need change every now and then, too.

Thank you! Oh man, that’s no good. Change can definitely be helpful, so if you can find ANY place that works, even an outdoor park or something, go to it!

I was actually just think about this, about how I wanted to work at a coffee shop tomorrow, instead of just sit at my desk! haha. Love your super comfy outfit, too! 🙂

I am also someone who needs a change of scenery. I’m even known at my local coffee shop now, because I’m always there working (and people watching) just to gain some inspiration and have a reason to put makeup on! I’m (hopefully) moving soon, so I’m looking forward to a huge change in my surroundings!

Lol, that’s great! YES, girl. I totally agree with the “excuse to put on real clothes and makeup” reasoning. Best of luck with your move!
