All the pictures in the world could not have prepared me for the beauty of Oia, Santorini. It was everything I dreamed of and more. I constantly found myself staring out at the views and saying “It’s so pretty here!” The homes and buildings on the mountainside (this is called the “caldera”) is such a gorgeous view. And of course all white everything is a dream come true for me.

On my first day exploring Santorini, I wore this amazing patterned shirt with a blue and orange geometric design. When I saw it on the sale rack at South Moon Under, I immediately knew it would be perfect for Santorini. When I shop for a place, I try to coordinate my outfit with the backdrop of the city or country. Of course when I think of Santorini, I think blue and white. And I was spot on – it really is how it looks in photos! So the outfit was perfect.

I wore the top with white pants to keep the look summery and fresh. Since I knew I’d be walking (a lot!), I wore comfortable flats. There are tons of stairs in Santorini, so more stable shoes probably would have been better, but I loved that the yellow in these brought out the orange in the shirt. Plus they’re super comfy, so I was fine in them all day. We walked, shopped (maybe too much), and ate (too much again) for our first day in Oia. It wasn’t super crowded, which was nice. But when it came time for the sunset, everyone rushed to catch the view. I can’t imagine how packed it must be during the tourist season. I’m so glad we went in October!
