This boozy peppermint hot chocolate is by far my favorite cozy winter cocktail. I love a good coquito, but the combination of peppermint and chocolate is definitely an all-time favorite of mine. And I’m not alone. I’ve made this cozy cocktail for family and friends and it is consistently loved by all. My only warning is to be careful: it doesn’t taste like alcohol at all so it can definitely sneak up on you! Ryan and I learned our lesson one night last winter when we accidentally finished almost the entire bottle of peppermint vodka. Oops!

I personally love good ole Swiss Miss hot chocolate mix, but you can use any mix of your liking for this recipe. Don’t forget the marshmallows and peppermint garnish though! I also added some sprinkles for a little extra festive touch. Here’s how I make it:

Boozy Peppermint Hot Chocolate

The tastiest cozy cocktail you'll ever drink

Ingredients
  

  • 1 serving hot chocolate mix
  • 6 oz hot water
  • 3 oz peppermint vodka
  • 1 handful marshmallows
  • 1 candy cane
  • 2 oz almond milk (optional; reduce water oz accordingly)

Instructions
 

  • Make hot chocolate following package instructions
  • Pour in peppermint vodka & stir
  • Optional: add almond milk
  • Garnsih with marshmallows and candy cane
  • Enjoy!
