I’ve always loved bubble baths. Obviously I loved them as a kid; I mean, what kid doesn’t? But that relaxing obsession never ended. And now, especially as the weather starts to cool down, I’ve been winding down with a nice, warm bubble bath more often than ever. So I decided to create a fun little post to share my bubble bath essentials!

1. Wine
I mean, do I really even need to explain this one? It’s first on the list for a reason.

2. A Good Book
Or magazine or your phone, whatever. Just something to help you really escape the stress of the day and actually relax! That’s the whole point, right? I just read Amy Poehler’s Yes Please and I have to say it was pretty good.

I’ve never been a fan of loofas or wash cloths. I don’t know what it is, but I just don’t like them. I once read that loofas have tons of germs on them, so maybe that’s it. But anyway, I recently discovered . It’s perfect for me! I use it dry before getting in the bath and then lather my body up with body wash and gently use the brush for a super deep clean. Love it!

And while we’re on the subject of scrubbing, I have to share my love of the complexion facial sponge. I don’t use this in the bath (dirty water, ya feel me?), but it was too important to skip over. I use it every time I wash my face (I use the one for sensitive skin) and my skin just feels so much cleaner afterwards. I’ve definitely noticed a difference in texture as well.

5. Essential Oils
I shared my love for essential oils in another post, so I won’t go too into detail here, but they work so well. Depending on what your current needs are, you can tailor your bath to work for you. I use lavendar on the reg since it has great relaxing qualities, but if you’re sick, I’d recommend thieves, purification and eucalyptus. You only need a few drops to turn a normal bubble bath into an aromatic heaven.

I might be in the minority here, but I actually don’t love bath bombs. The color always stains and I really don’t even get the purpose of them, tbh. Anyway, are you a fan of bubble baths too? I’d love to hear your list of must haves for the perfect bubble bath!
