Omg, I had THE BEST TIME in LA over the weekend. If you follow me on Snapchat (@lushtoblush) then you know that all too well. Someone needs to stop me from snapping after like 3 drinks. Anyway, I was in town for my bestie’s wedding and it was the most beautiful thing I have ever witnessed in my life. I can’t wait to share photos from it!

I headed over on Thursday and I was totally feeling the California vibes when I picked out my outfit. I’ve never been able to figure out the shirt-tied-around-the-waist trend. I did it in middle school (I think I did at least?) when everyone else did, but now it’s kind of hard to make it chic. I think I figured it out with this look though. I needed it to keep me warm when I got cold during the trip, but since it’s hot here and hot there, I didn’t want to wear it the whole time. Perfect solution, right?

Oh plus this dress is super tight and my wrap around shirt covered my stomach so I didn’t need to suck in. Totally the best part about this trend. I wore it with booties so I’d have socks on when I went through security without my shoes, which totally got me excited for fall! Booties are the perfect transition shoe; I have a feeling I’ll be wearing these a lot over the next couple months!
