As some of you may remember, I have naturally curly hair. I don’t wear it like that often, but it does come in handy when I want to try different styles. I have this one relaxed boho look I like for summer, so I wanted to share it with you! I will be using John Frieda Frizz Ease 3-Day Straight Styling Spray to relax the curls a little since I won’t be blowdrying much or using a flat iron.
First, spritz your wet hair with John Frieda Frizz Ease 3-Day Straight Styling Spray. Next, you’re going to french braid (or regular/American? braid) your hair and let it sit for a couple hours. If you can’t wait, just blowdry it in the braid. I used the blow dryer for about 2 minutes.
When it’s almost dry, go ahead and let the braid out and let it finish air drying. The straighter your hair is naturally, the longer you should leave the braid in. Since my hair’s curly, I didn’t need to leave it in that long. The braid helps reduce frizz and volume in my case.
Next, pull some strands of hair from around your face and braid them. I used my bangs and some of the surrounding hair. It’s a great method of getting your bangs out of your face! Anyway, braid each side and pull them together in the back and tie with either a clear elastic or a little ribbon. I used twine.
And that’s it! If your hair isn’t all the way dry yet, you can just let it continue to air dry as you go about your day.
How do you achieve boho curls?

Usually I braid my hair, then spritz it with a little water so it’s slightly damp. I sleep with it like that, then comb it through with my fingers and use Lush Sea Spray. I like your method though, and the braid looks super cute with the curls 🙂

That’s a great method! I’ve tried it before, but it doesn’t always work with my curls. Lush Sea Spray sounds amazing – I think I need it!

This is so simple, but amazing! I love adding braids to all of my hairdos. They are just so fun and easy and add some character when I don’t have a ton of time to spend on my hair. I have some Frizz Ease and have yet to use it. I want to try this tutorial now.

I have naturally wavy hair. To make it look really good I usually have to curl it or put some kind of conditioning oil in it. Cute hair!

Thank you!! If I’m going for a curly look, sometimes I’ll curl a couple pieces just to make it look a little more polished.

Your hair with some boho curl help is just like mine! I love showering before bed, so if I wash my hair, I wait until it’s about 85% air dry before running some product through it and throwing it up into a semi-tight high bun. I make sure to twist it well, and I wake up to a head full of loose, natural-looking curls, heat-free! I finish with Moroccan oil hairspray or some shine finishing spray, and I’m golden for the rest of the day.

I love that!! That’s what I do too, but I have to blow dry it first or else it’s too curly! But that is the best way for loose waves – I love it!

That is very pretty. I usually get waves by braiding my hair at night into several loose braids and spraying with water. In the morning I smooth the ends with an iron before I unbraid then smooth the whole thing with a little Biosillk.

That sounds like a great method! I usually can’t sleep on my hair to create any style – it gets too crazy throughout the night! haha

My hair is so straight that unless I spend a lot of time on it, it never takes on any style without a lot of hairspray!
