Cashmere Skin

Ever since a major family tragedy, my skin has decided to rebel against me worse than ever. Obviously my hormones and emotions have been all over the place and it definitely affected me physically unlike anything in my life ever has. I decided to remedy the sitch by buying all this high end face wash, treatments, serums, you name it.
Then one day I forgot to bring my expensive face wash in the shower, so I used my sister’s Cetaphil. That day my skin seemed calmer than usual. I was so surprised, so I decided to use the Cetaphil again. I couldn’t believe it. All this time, I should have just been using something gentle instead of so many harsh treatments. As I continued to use the Cetaphil, it was clear that this was the cleanser for me!
My new foundation has a similar story. I went on a trip to the beach and forgot my makeup bag – ugh! I headed over to Ulta Beauty to grab an affordable foundation I could use until I got my makeup bag back. I grabbed the Neutrogena SkinClearing foundation since I had been experiencing the breakouts. I am go glad I picked this up. It’s totally my new favorite! It’s like a treatment. I’ve actually been wearing it overnight and in the morning my skin is so much calmer than if I had worn nothing. Crazy, right?
So thanks to these two amazing products, my skin has cleared up so much. It’s not perfect (yet!), but I’m working on it. Since I had such a great experience with the face wash, I also bought the Cetaphil moisturizer and I’m loving it so far! I’ve continued to use my Clarisonic (with these brush heads), but only a few times a week; I’ve found that using it everyday causes some irritation.
What are your favorite products to achieve cashmere skin?

My skin normally sways oily but this combo seems to have made a huge impact. My makeup is lasting all day and no shine! And it feels great.
AM:
CeraVe face wash for normal to oily skin – any drugstore has this
Paula’s Choice BHA 20% Liquid Exfoliant
SkinCeuticals Phloretin CF Serum
Paula’s Choice Resist Super Light Daily Defense SPF 30
PM:
CeraVe face wash for normal to oily skin
SkinMedica GlyPro Serum
Paula’s Choice Moisture Barrier Repair with Retinol
The SkinCeuticals and SkinMedica stuff is rather expensive, so I plan on replacing it with Paula’s Choice products when I run out.

I’m personally loving Shea Moisture African Black Soap for my skin! It’s so great on my face and on my make up brushes and super affordable. I picked it up at Walgreens/Duane Reade 🙂 I love when affordable things are also really effective. I also love the Neutrogena bar soap!

I have been using Cetaphil for years. My dermatologist recommended this to me actually. It has such a gentle yet effective formula, and I love that there is a version for oily skin!

I love Cetaphil face wash-I think it gets all the nitty gritty makeup off without being over powerful! I also love CeraVe night moisturizer! A little bit goes a long way

I am going to be trying Cetaphil as a hand cream too after I use up my current. My doctor recommended it for my allergies.
