Sydney CBD Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel review, where to stay in Sydney, Australia

I have arrived! If you follow me on Instagram, you know I made it to Sydney. I’ve been posting to stories nonstop! We landed on Friday morning and after my sister and I went through customs and got our passport stamps (yay!), we got on the internet to find a place to stay. This is totally something we could have done before we got here, but hey, we’re go with the flow kind of girls.

We finalized details with the Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel in Sydney’s Central Business District, aka CBD. It’s right by Circular Quay and the Sydney Opera House, so we did a lot of walking and exploring during the 4 days we were in the area. After settling into our room, we got a knock at the door. I was so surprised to see it was a bottle of champagne from the hotel – how incredibly sweet! It completely set our trip off on the right foot. We popped the bubbly and sipped as we got ready for the night.

We decided to walk around and pick a place that looked fun for dinner and drinks. We settled on The Royal George, a pub on–not surprisingly–George Street, which is one of the main streets in the CBD and just one block over from the Radisson Blu. We drank, ate, played pool, and made a few Irish friends. It was a great night! Even if it did end with a drunk dial. Oops.

My method of dealing with jetlag is to power through and stay up no matter what. I have to admit that doesn’t always turn out so well. Maybe it’s time for a new plan?

Have you ever been to Sydney’s CBD?
