As you may know, I traveled to Charleston, South Carolina last week to attend Charleston Fashion Week with Belk. The whole experience was so much better than I could have imagined. Belk brought nine bloggers from all over the south to attend and experience Charleston Fashion Week. It was so cool to meet fellow bloggers and I love my new friends!
My first impression of Charleston was so great. I decided to take a stroll on King St. before our first group event. The weather was beautiful (maybe a little cold, but I was in pants so that’s ok!) and I was able to stop in some of the fab boutiques my new favorite street offers and even got a few new goodies!
When I checked into my room, I was surprised with countless gifts from Belk sprinkled throughout the room (including six fabulous Chanel lipsticks and the pink dress here!). I thought I had the wrong room there were so many clothes and beauty products there already! I couldn’t believe how much stuff I got. I really didn’t even need to bring anything on this trip!
Our first event was a media event at the Belk tent in Marion Square where I wore my new bright pink maxi. I had so much fun mingling with fellow media mavens and chatting with the Belk team.
That night, we went to dinner with Trina Turk, whose designs are available at Belk. I already loved but after meeting her and getting to know her a little better, I definitely admire her even more! I was lucky enough to be seated next to Trina, so we got to chat a lot. I love her designs so it was cool to hear about her inspiration, which comes a lot from traveling. I also love to travel so it was great to be able to talk to her about that.
We did so many more activities during the week and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. To be completely honest, I didn’t really know what to expect. After all, I’ve never been to any fashion week before. But I was very pleasantly surprised with everything Belk did. The executives there are awesome and I hope to go back for CHSFW next year!

We are going to be blogging about this week’s Midwest Fashion Week events and can’t be more excited about the opportunity. I wish it were going to be warmer because I totally would wear this beautiful pink dress in a heartbeat. Love this look and I’m so glad you had to have such a fun visit to Charleston!
