I can’t believe it’s almost November and I’m wearing shorts. After our fake fall, we have entered our third summer, ha! Seriously, I’ve been going outside all ready for fall and have had to take off my jacket every single time. But whatever, I’ll take warm over cold any day! I actually love this in-between weather so I can wear one of my favorite pairings: OTK boots and cutoffs. I mean, I am from the south, so can you blame my daisy duke ass?
I wanted to switch it up with this look for more of a city, edgy vibe. I just recently got this ivory sweater tank, so I built the outfit around that. These transitional periods are always when I go for my sweater tanks. I have one in just about every color. I don’t know why I love them so much, but I just do! Since this one is a looser fit, I paired it with my black lace bodysuit for some cute little peek-a-boo action.
I really love the juxtaposition of lace with raw, frayed edges and an oversized leather jacket. One of my favorite ways to play with looks is to pair things that aren’t necessarily the same style. I feel like it creates a balanced look that feminine, fun, and just the slightest bit carefree.
I got these cutoff shorts on super sale recently and finally had the chance to wear them. I am obsessed. I will say, they are a little tight. Not sure if it’s because they run small or if I’m already getting up to my comfy winter weight though. Finally, I wore my black over the knee boots I got last year. I wish they were the Goodnight Macaroon ones, but they’re not. The toe is much rounder than the GM ones – not my fave! Anyway, I do love how it all came together for those concrete jungle vibes.
