There’s something so special and magical about the Eiffel Tower, it’s no wonder it’s such a famous landmark. But I’ll be honest, the first time I saw it I was like, “that’s it?” I was unimpressed, to say the least. But the more time I spent in Paris, the more enamored with it I became. And there’s one simple reason: the sparkle. It is seriously one of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen.
After that first time seeing the Eiffel Tower at night, I was hooked. My friends and I made sure to make plans to see it every night before we left. The first time we saw it, we were walking back to our Airbnb from dinner. We walked through a park and noticed tons of people sitting down facing the Eiffel Tower. We knew that it sparkled every hour on the hour after sunset, so since it was about to be dark, we decided to stop and join them. Since we didn’t have a blanket we just sat on the curb and chatted as we waited.
The only thing that would have made the night better would have been a bottle of champagne. There were men walking around selling champagne, wine, and beer, but that just seemed sketch to us. Anyway, when 10pm finally arrived, I was stunned. I had no idea how gorgeous sparkling lights could be. It sparkles really fast and is so super bright and pretty. Like I said, after that, I was hooked.
Since I went to Paris with two other bloggers, we set up a shoot with a photographer. We captured these gorgeous photos at the Trocadéro at sunrise. We met at about 6am, but it was so worth it. There were actually about 20 other people there: all taking photos, except one super healthy runner. I can’t blame them, how stunning is this view?!
I wore my new striped and floral maxi dress from Zara. It was actually freezing, so I definitely needed the sleeves. After a few amazing shots with the Eiffel Tower, we walked down the stairs and along a tree-lined path towards the tower. Can you imagine living in Paris and seeing this every day? Incredible! Now that I’ve experienced it in person, I can’t wait to go back and see the Eiffel Tower sparkle at night!
Have you ever seen the Eiffel Tower?
