Lauren and I spent a couple of our days in Mallorca wandering the streets of Palma – Mallorca’s main city and capital. It was actually my favorite part of our trip. The city is so active and European. Everything is clean and pretty – it’s the perfect place to walk around, shop, and eat.
The shopping area, which is near the Palma Cathedral, is great. Whether you’re on a budget or want to go luxury shopping, there’s something for you. Lauren and I shopped in H&M and Zara as well as some high-end boutiques. It was weird though, almost everything out was winter clothes. In the middle of August. We spent most of our days sweating in a bikini. But hey, I guess these merchandisers know what they’re doing?
My favorite place we stopped was Rialto Living. It’s this amazing store with home items, gifts, and pretty clothing and shoes – such a great variety and the prices were totally reasonable. But my favorite thing about Rialto Living was the adorable open-air coffee shop, Café Rialto, in the center. I absolutely loved it! We treated ourselves to a couple affogatos and rested our feet from walking all day. It was purely divine!
Another area we walked around was Sant Jaume. This area was a lot more residential than near the Cathedral, but it actually seemed a little less quite. There were tons of shops, restaurants, and cafes all over. It was super cute and at the end of the day, we stopped for some gelato. Yum!
For our day in the city, I wore my vibrant red, frilly matching set I got recently. Doesn’t it just feel so Spanish? In fact, I think it’s called the “floral señorita” or something like that, ha! I totally felt like dancing the entire time – and I did! The ruffles on this set just make you want to move. As the sun went down, I actually wore the top, but swapped the bottoms for my white mini skirt. It was the perfect look for dinner and drinks. I’d totally pair the pants with my white bodysuit too. That’s what I love about sets – you can wear them together or separate them and they’re just as cute either way!
Do you like matching sets?
