Day to Night in the City

Another weekend, another adventure. This time it was a trip to New York City for my friend Arielle’s bridal shower. Since she’s getting married on the west coast, she wants to have all her events on the east coast to make it a little easier for all us bridesmaids to get there. The weekend was so much fun and in addition to the bridal shower, I got to celebrate my other bestie Ashley’s engagement to her boyfriend of 10 years. There was so much love in the air!

For the trip over to New York, I obvi wanted to be comfortable, but since the festivities were to begin as soon as I landed, I had to wear something versatile. The plan was to go straight from the plane to happy hour to dinner and then out at the bars. Finding an outfit that’s appropriate for all those different activities is really tough, but I think I did a pretty good job with these printed pants.

For the flight, I wore flats and after I landed I switched to my neutral alice + olivia heels. The casual vibe was perfect for happy hour and since we just did a casual dinner, it worked there too. We hit a couple low-key bars afterwards and I was comfortable for the whole day and night. Definitely a win in my book!
