Happy Birthday to meeeeee! Yay, I’m a year older! I celebrated my birthday over the weekend (it was 12/12) and had the most perfect 2 days. I’ve been in Alabama spending time with family for the holidays and there’s no where else I’d rather be. I decided to get dressed up and be festive for my special day even though I didn’t really do much. There’s just something so elegant about red lips and sparkling jewels that makes a lady feel special!
New York & Company just released their Eva Mendes Holiday Collection on December 2 and as soon as I saw this dress, I knew I had to have it. I was so excited to see that they had the petite size available. It was totally meant to be. I am happy to say that it actually fit perfectly, which is so hard for me these days. It’s why I often wear more flowy clothes – they’re always too big!
While I was shopping, I saw these red heels and thought they’d be the perfect pair for my new dress. I bought this look with a holiday party in mind (it’s still so warm in the south during the holidays that you’d probably be fine in this with no coat!) and I’ll still probably wear it again this season, but I had the urge to wear it on my birthday, so I just went with it.
