As I’ve shared in the past, I’m a loyal user of Dermalogica products and love how my skin has reacted to consistent use of the line. When I first started using Dermalogica, I just used the products that I thought I needed. I was pretty close to what I later was recommended and the products worked well in clearing my skin up, but I recently decided to visit the Atlanta location for a relaxing treatment & skin mapping consultation. I learned so much about my skin.

First of all, I am dehydrated all over. Thanks a lot, coffee and wine! Secondly, the daily microfoliant I had been using is too harsh for my sensitive skin (I can use it weekly though). I got a great mask to use weekly for a mini facial that the specialist in the store recommended (she also used it on me during my treatment!) along with clearing products + ultracalming products for the perfect balance. Finally, she introduced me to the most important step in my new rountine: precleanse.

I actually had a sample from a while back and always forgot to use it because you have to use it dry. It’s an oily liquid that you rub between your dry hands and apply to your dry face. I used to always wet my face first and just be like oops, whatever. I mean do I really need to precleanse and then cleanse both morning and night? Um, yes. I do. This stuff is amazing!

I instantly saw a difference in the breakouts & fine lines on my face. Now I always make sure that I never skip that step. Not only does it help really get a deeper clean, but I love how the oil feels on my face. I couldn’t be happier with my new daily routine.
