I’m finally in California! About a month ago, I was chatting on the phone with my sister and it really made me miss her more than ever. On a whim, I looked up flights to LA during my friend’s birthday weekend and they were barely over $200. Flights to LA are usually around $450 so I bought the ticket immediately.

I really like Atlanta, but I think California is my favorite state. The weather is obviously amazing, but there’s also always something fun going on, the restaurants are amazing, and I have my sister here! On our first night here, me, Johnny, my sister and her boyfriend all came to Santa Monica to meet up with my bestie Arielle and her fiancé Brian. We had planned to go to Oscar’s and even made a reservation, but they ended up making us wait for THREE HOURS. So obvi we said eff that and went across the street to Hostaria del Piccolo. They were having some happy hour specials so it was perfect. If you ever go, you have to get the mac and cheese!

I wore my favorite white skinnies and a simply chambray top for a casual spring look. I wore wedges and a panama hat to complete the look. After dinner, we came back to Arielle’s place and chatted over some wine. It was the perfect kick off to our week here in California. The next morning, we jetted off to Napa Valley, but more on that later!
