Easy Homemade Peppermint Mocha

Every December through February, I stick solely to my favorite seasonal coffee drink: peppermint mocha. Ever since I was a child, peppermint has always been my favorite candy. So when I have the opportunity to blend that with my other favorite thing, coffee, I always take advantage.
But of course grabbing that peppermint mocha latte at Starbucks every day can add up very quickly, so instead of going bankrupt over gourmet coffee I created my own version. I really dislike milk, so my peppermint mocha is vegan and oh so tasty! Here’s how I make it:
Brew coffee the normal way you usually do. Mix one part coffee with one part dark chocolate almond milk. Stir with a candy cane.
I know it’s super simple, but it’s my daily morning coffee in the winter and I don’t know what I’d do without it. Plus the candy cane really gets you in the Christmas spirit every morning!
Do you like peppermint mocha?

YES!! This makes me so happy! I just got a peppermint mocha frappe from starbucks today and thought they charged me for a larger size because of the price. I never thought of using dark chocolate almond milk. I can’t have dairy and LOVE chocolate almond milk, I can’t believe I never tried mixing coffee with it.

I have given my kids candy canes for stir sticks for their hot chocolate for years now. They love it and it adds a great peppermint kick!
