When the weather changes, I always change my beauty routine. As the weather warms, I prefer thinner, lighter coverage with less oil as opposed to the hydrating products I use in the winter. I’m happy to say it’s time to start transitioning into spring and summer beauty products – yay! So to kick it off, I took the Stay Matte Challenge by Rimmel London.
To be honest, this is one of the first times I’ve tried Rimmel London. I did wear their BB Cream last summer and liked it, but besides that, this is my only experience with the brand and I have to say, I wasn’t disappointed. I expected the ‘Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation’ to be fairly sheer with light coverage, but to my surprise, you actually don’t need a lot at all to get nice coverage. Since it is mousse, the texture is something I’m not used to, but I do like it. It’s lightweight, yet covers my imperfections and evens my skin tone. I must warn you again though: you do not need much of this product to get the job done! Just a pearl sized amount is more than enough.
Another thing I liked is that it is matte, yet it doesn’t feel dry at all. It helps keep skin from appearing oily, which is definitely a must on those warmer days. All in all, I liked this product more than I thought I would. I’ll have to keep using it on a regular basis to decide if I’ll make the ‘Stay Matte Switch’, but so far, so good!
Have you ever tried Rimmel London’s Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation? How did you like it?

oh wow!! it really does work and it doesn’t look like it leaves your skin oily which is good!
I hate when you put on something and you feel like you have a mask on.
I’ll give this brand a try!

I’ve been using this foundation for a little over a month now and I love it! You are spot on with not needing a lot.. I put a tiny dot on my forehead, cheeks, chin and nose and just blend! Try pairing it with their Stay Matte pressed powder.. everything looks perfect and it’s so affordable! $3.00 for the powder, $5 for the foundation. Great post 🙂

I’m so glad you like it too! I haven’t tried the powder, but wow, that is so cheap! I was so shocked that the foundation was only $5. Such a steal!!

I’ve heard great things about this stuff, but I’m super bummed out because it doesn’t come in a color dark enough for me. 🙁
March 29, 2014 @ 7:53 pm
Yeah, the color is very light. I had to go much darker than I expected!

I haven’t tried that one yet. Seems like a good bb cream for oily skin. Thanks for the review.

I already heard a lot about this foundation and I’m very curious to find out myself if it works or not 🙂 This post was helpful but I wonder if the Rimmel foundation will make me break out or not? I get pimples easily so I’m a little worried/hesitant!
xx regards from Belgium!

Glad you like it! It really is a great product. Now that I have a little tan, I mix it with my new Bare Minerals and it’s perfect!
