One of the things I absolutely love about over the knee boots is how much they level up an outfit. You can throw them on with almost anything and you instantly look on-trend. Sadly, I fear their reign is coming to an end. Which is why I’m getting as much wear out of mine this fall and winter as I can.
Pairing OTK boots with a skirt adds a feminine touch to the trend – plus they do a great job of keeping your legs warm when you don’t want to go the pants route. Here I wore the pairing with the coziest turtleneck sweater and my new square mirrored sunglasses. When I put my sweater on, my hair was obviously still tucked in and after catching a glimpse of myself in the mirror, I decided to keep it that way. I never thought I’d be able to pull that look off, but I actually love it. It’s so nice to not have my hair flying all over the place!
I wore them again right after Thanksgiving for our little impromptu family photoshoot. My mom decided she just had to have group photos, so she enlisted Ryan to take some of us – ha! I’m so glad she did though. I love how the photos turned out and I’m so glad to have these memories to look back on.
For the shoot, I wore my over the knee boots with my Spanx leggings (one of my many pairs – I LOVE Spanx leggings!!!) with a long sleeve bodysuit and my go-to faux fur jacket of the season. I wear this jacket everywhere and I love how incredibly chic it is. This is one trend I think I will always love!
Hopefully I’m wrong and the OTK boot trend will last for many more years. But I just had a feeling about it this year. I guess time will tell!
Have you ever been a fan of the over-the-knee boot trend?

Love this cute lil bougie look on you boo! Sadly I have to agree about the OTK boots being on their last leg (pun intended hahaha!) but Im gonna hang on to mine because I’m sure they will come back around in a few years!
