Exploring Atlanta: Old Fourth Ward

I moved to the Old Fourth Ward neighborhood of Atlanta a couple months ago and so far, I could not love it any more! Before moving here, I was way out in the burbs, so being ITP (inside the perimeter) has been amazing for me. I live within walking distance to Ponce City Market as well as Krog Street Market, and countless coffee shops. But since it was a little chilly when I first moved in, I haven’t been able to fully explore until now.
I took a new photography partnership as a chance to explore and it totally paid off. We drove down my street about a half mile until we got to a white building. You know me, all white everything people! Anyway, we walked around the side of the building and were approached by a man. “Uh oh, we’re about to get kicked off this property,” both my photographer, Tanya, and I thought. Nope! This man gave us a little tour the building! Turns out, it’s a post-production studio. After snapping some shots all around the whole building, Joe came back over and invited us inside. For real! The huuuuuuuge studio space was all white and I would imagine extremely expensive to rent out. How lucky did we get?!
And that’s what I love about Atlanta. Everyone here is so nice and just wants the best for each other. Joe totally had the right to kick us off his property, but was kind enough to invite us to stay and even to check out the studio space. We had a blast and took some really cool photos. I’m so excited to continue exploring my hood!
Do you enjoy exploring your neighborhood?

such a darling look. What a funny little predicament to end up at a studio. I’d probably think the same when the man came up haha.
