What is it about fall that makes farms so attractive? I recently discovered a local farm that has a corn field, sells pumpkins & other vegetables, and even has a sunflower field! The sunflower field is much smaller than I imagined, but it really is a cool place to visit for the fall. I obviously needed to get some pumpkins for October, so I headed to the farm to grab some.

I wanted to keep it casual and comfy, so I layered a cardigan over this piko dress I’ve had for a couple years now. I love olive and camel together, but I wasn’t sure what direction to go to when it came to the shoes and accessories. Then I saw this hat in my closet. I got it last year and I never ended up wearing it until now. I thought the grey looked interesting with the green & tan and the little tie around the hat pulled it all together.

I kept with the grey accessories and wore my new . I just now realized that my cool color combo is just a natural mix of earth tones. I’m diggin it. Anyway, I love boots and short dresses for fall. I actually wore boots and a dress every day this past weekend. It’s the best – feminine, comfortable, and totally perfect for fall weather. Now for some pumpkin carving and toasted pumpkin seeds. Yum!

Have you had the chance to visit a farm this fall?
