Since fall is just around the corner, I think it’s the perfect time to start building that fall wardrobe. So I decided to start a fall essentials series. First up is quite possibly my favorite: the longline sweater.

Longline sweaters are everything this fall. It’s like the winter coat’s cooler cousin that spends the day at insta-perfect cafes & can’t seem to avoid street style photogs during NYFW. I can’t get enough & wear this thing like almost every day even though it’s still hot out.

Another one of my major favorites for fall is the felt panama hat. I got this amazing black one just a couple weeks ago and it has been my go-to ever since. Not only does it hide a bad hair day (umm, yes please!) but it is just oh-so-chic and totally pulls a look together. Even just adding a hat like this one with a t-shirt and jeans makes the entire look much more polished and complete.

One of the best bag styles I am loving for fall is the bucket bag. I began my love affair with the bucket bag last fall and just finally got one of my own this year. This one is by Wessley NYC – a brand I am totally crushing on right now! The backpack is just amazing (no wonder it’s sold out. *tear*).

Finally, one of my shoe essentials for fall would have to be the mule. These shoes were everywhere this spring and summer and they’re continuing into fall by being paired with a longline and some comfy chic boyfriend jeans. I love this slightly chicer version from Off Broadway Shoes so much that I got them in two colors.

What are your fall essentials?
