I love love love how youthful and girly I feel in this outfit! My take on schoolgirl plaid is sweet, stylish and totally modern. Fall is typically a season for increasingly dark colors and while I do love my fair share of all black ensembles, I have to say I really enjoy a nice, unexpected color pop.

For any normal day, I’d probably go with nude or navy shoes, but today I was feeling colorful. I chose a bright, sunny yellow for my shoe which is vibrant, yet works well for fall thanks to those orange and yellow leaves we see this time of year. Then of course the plaid skirt brings more fun colors to the look.

And yes, I know I wore this sweater on the blog yesterday, but I hope you’re not sick of it yet. Because I’m definitely not!
