We all love a good blast from the past, but I think there’s something extra special about truly antique items. I am very drawn to all things art deco, from the fashion to the architecture and decor, I just can’t get enough. I think my first art deco inspired piece of jewelry was the necklace I wore here (sold out, sadly) and then back in April, I got this necklace and wore it more often than I ever imagined I would. So when I was introduced to local jewelry designer Edith Anne of Vintage Green Jewelry, I knew I had to get my hands on a piece.

Edith hand creates each piece of jewelry from authentic vintage pieces. Seriously, she gets down and solders these pieces to turn belt buckles from the 1920s into gorgeous necklaces, bracelets and earrings. She even has a Chanel chain that she uses. Umm, yes please!

Authentic Art Deco jewels are certainly very special, but I do love my inspired pieces as well. Not only is it just as pretty (albeit maybe not as unique), but it’s also much more affordable, which is great for those pieces that you don’t see yourself wearing for years to come. Personally, I love (and own!) them all. Inspired or authentic, if it’s art deco, I’ll take it!
