Yay for spring! I am so excited that the first day of spring is in just TWO DAYS. And thus, I am sharing my spring picks from one of my favorite stores, Henri Bendel. This elegant shopping destination is for those who appreciate and value quality, style and lifelong durability. And while the prices can get a tad high, I will say that the long-lasting, classic pieces will most certainly get their fair share of use by most buyers.

I am typically a budget-focused shopper. I know that there are more important things in life than well, things. But there are certain wardrobe items I believe should be invested in–the ones that will last for years to come. A practical way to think of it is the cost per wear. When you get a super trendy item that will make you want to vom in 3 years, then go ahead and head to low-priced hot spots, but when you’re looking for those pieces that you’ll wear for years, like a great handbag or an elegant piece of jewelry, then it makes more sense to splurge just a little.

For spring this year, I am loving light, fresh colors like blush pink, powder blue, ivory, and champagne (and rose, always rose) gold. Art Deco style jewelry always makes me happy and two toned neutrals allow accessories to match with a larger range of outfits. Oh and for sunglasses, always go with tortoiseshell; it goes with everything & you’ll only need one pair.
