I’ve always been a fan of applying foundation with a brush. Ask any of my friends – especially the ones who apply foundation with their hands (Bridgette!!!!). The application is just so much smoother and cleaner – if you have the right brush of course.

I’ve gone through quite a few myself. I find one I love, then come across another one that’s even better. Which is exactly what happened when I found my new current favorite: the . It is so extremely soft to the touch, yet provides great coverage thanks to the shape. It’s the perfect combo of gentle & effective!

But of course you can’t have flawless application without setting your foundation with a little powder. That’s where the  comes in. I just got this one too and I have to say, it’s amazing! It is so big and plush – my favorite for powder application. When a brush isn’t soft enough, it can mess up the previous layers of makeup, so for me softer is always better! Plus I’m not trying to pile on a ton if it and I’ve found that softer brushes don’t pick up as much product, which is definitely my preference.

I’ve also been kind of gently placing the brush on my face instead of sweeping it. And then when I was getting my makeup done for my bestie’s wedding this weekend, the makeup artist did the same thing. Totally a pro move!
