Floating Breakfast in Bali

One of the most popular and picturesque things to do is have a floating breakfast in Bali. Ever since I first saw it on Instagram a year or two ago, I had been dreaming of enjoying my breakfast in a private pool on the gorgeous tropical island of Bali. I made my flower bath dreams come true, so you know I had to get a floating breakfast. And I did…twice!
Like I mentioned in a couple other Bali posts, the Instagram craze has completely taken over the Indonesian island. And of course, I fell into the hype by taking my own floating breakfast photos. I was so excited to not only take the photos, but also have a relaxing and genuinely enjoyable experience eating my breakfast in our pool. But the truth is, I didn’t.
My floating breakfast in Bali in the pool wasn’t really that comfortable. Plus, it’s not as warm in the morning as you’d think. Both times, I ended up giving up on the experience and taking the tray to the dining area. Oh well, at least I gave it a shot! The food was delicious and I’m definitely glad I did it. Next time though, I think I’ll get my breakfast in bed!

I definitely see why it would be less than wonderful to eat breakfast in the pool. But, these pictures came out beautifully!

Lol yeah! I loved the idea and it really was so pretty, but definitely a little tricky to actually pull off. I’m still glad we got to try it out!

Good to know your actual, honest opinion on this experience! Way to be real and genuine about it – even if you did get some fabulous shots for the blog/Instagram!

Thanks, Stephanie! It sure did make for some gorgeous photos! I’m really glad we got to experience it, but I now know that I’d be much more comfortable enjoying breakfast in bed lol
