Florals for Spring…Groundbreaking

Ok, so I admit it: wearing florals for spring is nothing new. But there’s a reason it’s such a given – it looks so damn good! I got this while shopping on King Street in Charleston a couple months ago. I was totally on a romper kick and I am still loving the playful silhouette. I went with a neutral shoe–my amazing –and a simple white . I really wanted a colorful bag but of course neutral-loving me didn’t have one. I’ll have to add that to my spring/summer wishlist! ( is #1 right now, btw)
So instead of the bag, I added my pop of pink on my lips by mixing three different Chanel lipsticks. It’s funny, but I rarely wear just one lip color – I always mix them. Anyone else like that? Anyway, I wore this same outfit back in Charleston out for a wine night and I ended up doing the same thing yesterday when I wore it for the second time. But then again when almost every night is wine night, the chances aren’t too slim. I can’t pass up a good Pinot Noir!

I just love how simple rompers are. Just like dresses, you just throw them on and you’re ready to go. But for some reason, rompers that are a little more structured really make it look like you put in way more effort than you actually did. The real effort comes in when it’s time to go to the bathroom. I know you feel my pain if you’ve ever worn a romper!
What’s your favorite way to wear florals for spring? Are you a fan of rompers?

Rompers are my go to for spring, and I absolutely LOVE the one you’re wearing! I’ll be going to Charleston during Christmas to visit family, but I wish I could have visited during spring while the weather is so nice! I’ve never tried mixing lipsticks before and usually just wear one shade at a time. I love the color you mixed here! I may have to try mixing some lipsticks too.

Thank you! I am totally loving rompers for spring too! It was nice while I was there one day, but it rained the rest of the time. I want to plan to go back soon though. You should try mixing colors – you’ll have so many more options!

I also never only wear one lip color; mixing shades adds so much more dimension! The romper is gorgeous and the print is definitely characteristic of spring!

This is too cute on you! I have been trying on rompers left and right, lately, but maybe my body isn’t meant for them. I’m soooo trying to force it though! Haha! I think my booty is just too much for them. The one you have on looks so much more structured, though – so maybe that’s what I should look for over “flowy”

Yes, definitely try the structured ones! I’m really short, so finding the right fit is hard for me too. You can always alter it if you find one you love!

Loved this post, specifically these 3 things:
1)that romper- seriously to die for! I love how it is a subtle print and how it’s paired with the colors!
2)the city of charleston- is there a cuter city?!
3)you’re devil wears prada reference- because it’s hilarious.
Happy almost Friday!

Great, summery outfit! I love rompers but have to be content with looking at everyone else wearing them — I’ve yet to come across one that fits my long torso. I should import a tall label to Norway, as it’s crazy that we don’t have any when considering how tall we are up here!

Thanks! I’m the opposite – they’re usually too long for me! Even in the smallest size 🙁 This one’s a little long, but you can’t tell when I put my hands in my pockets!
