beamly, tv shows

I’ve shared my love for TV before. My shows are my favorite way to relax (with wine in hand, of course). I’m not a movie buff and I don’t obsess over music unless it’s Sam Smith or Britney. But you get the point: shows are my thing. So of course I am super excited for all the spring shows that are coming back. Here are a few of my favorites:

Mad Men

If you haven’t seen Mad Men, YOU ARE MISSING OUT. Not only is the plot of this show extremely captivating, but the authentic portrayal of the time period can’t be beat. With such a wide range of characters–from desperate housewife Betty to sexy go-getter Joan–there’s something for everyone to relate to. Unsurprisingly, one of my favorite parts of the show is the fashion. I live for 60s and 70s fashion so pulling inspiration from Mad Men is so much fun for me.

VEEP

I’m obsessed with a couple other political shows (Scandal or House of Cards, anyone?) plus Julia Louis-Dreyfus is brilliant, so I had a feeling I would like this show. I got hooked after the first couple episodes that I watched On Demand and went through two seasons in like two weeks. The hilarious spin on politics is right up my alley and I just can’t get enough!

The Real Housewives of New York

This is definitely my guilty pleasure show. I watch all the housewives religiously except for maybe Atlanta (ironic, huh?). New York might be my favorite. It’s a close call between that and Beverly Hills. I love that all of the RHONY ladies have their own careers and are very driven. It makes sense since New York is known for that, but it’s so great to see that part of their lives on TV. Bethanny is back and AVIVA IS GONE! Rejoice!

Game of Thrones

I don’t watch this show but I feel like I should include it. Anyone watch it? Should I start?

Like I said, I love my shows, but being self-employed means I have way too much work to do at all hours and can’t just take a break when a show starts. Plus I like to fast forward through commercials, so I always record my fave shows. With Xfinity, subscribers are able to set a season recording to record all new episodes. Since these recordings are kept on the Xfinity cloud, space is virtually unlimited. Score! So I definitely won’t miss an episode of any of my favorite spring shows.

What spring shows are you excited for?
