Since we’re all in green mode (Happy St. Patrick’s Day, yall!), I thought it would be perfect timing to share this glam look I wore down in Alys Beach (pronounced “alice”) a couple weekends ago. I’ve heard of 30A, but since I had never been, I didn’t really get the hype. I mean, I’ve been to Panama City and Destin before and I was not blown away. Granted it was several years ago, but still. Florida, especially the panhandle, does not excite me. I lived in Florida for ten years and Tallahassee for five, so I always felt like I’ve seen it all. Oh man was I wrong!

The beaches along 30A are gorgeous. I’ve always known that nothing compares to the white sand on the beaches in that area, so of course I was already drawn to that, but yall. The architecture and branding is stunning. In Alys beach, every single building is white. And there’s an old-world European feel to the whole area, all while remaining very luxe. I totally felt like I was in an episode of Game of Thrones. I’ve also heard Rosemary beach is similar, but I haven’t been there yet. Next time!

There are other surrounding communities that aren’t quite as upscale, but super cute and quaint. We stopped for a quick shopping trip at Ophelia’s and then had some lunch and frosé at Bud & Alley’s in Santa Rosa Beach. It was such an adorable area with lots of little shops, ice cream parlors, food trucks and more. I can’t wait for my next visit to 30A so I can explore more!

Have you ever been to Alys Beach?
