Despite the cold weather, the holidays are such a fun and special time. I absolutely love hanging with family by the fire and sipping on hot cocoa (or in my family’s case, spiked hot cocoa). Whether you’re staying in with friends or going to a work holiday party, there’s no need to buy a whole new winter wardrobe. You just need to shop for a few great pieces, and mix those in with your current staples.
I’m here to help you find those few perfect pieces that will amp up your wardrobe. I’ve teamed up with LOFT to become your very own personal stylist! All you need to do is head to LOFT, and tell me the basic items you already have in your closet. Then I’ll pick my favorite LOFT pieces (that I think you’ll love, of course) and style them with your existing basics. So cool, right?!
Holiday Hack #1: Build a look around a bold pant
There are basics and then there are fun pieces. Most people focus on the top half of their outfit for the pop, but this year I’m switching it up by adding a pop of color on the bottom half. These LOFT corduroys are a great piece because they can easily be dressed up or down. Pair them with one of the sweaters you already have in your closet and you’re good to go.
Holiday Hack #2: Add some bling
If there’s ever a time to sparkle, it’s now. Add a pretty jeweled necklace and take your current closet staples from casual to glam in 2.5 seconds.
Holiday Hack #3: Don’t forget about the beauty
I always say that your beauty look is an important part of your outfit. Glam up casual wear with a bold lip and an elegant bun.
See you over at LOFT – can’t wait to style you!
What is your favorite holiday hack?

can you wear the flare jeans with flats?
January 2, 2016 @ 7:53 pm
I personally can’t wear flare jeans with flats unless I get them hemmed since I’m only 5′, but if the length fits you, I don’t see why not!
