Ice Skating in Breckenridge, Colorado

If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I was in Breckenridge, Colorado last weekend. I have overloaded my feed with beautiful wintry mountain pics and I ain’t sorry bout it. It was my first time to Breckenridge and I totally fell in love! On our first day in Breck, we went ice skating. We wanted to take it a little easy and wait until we were used to the altitude before going skiing. The plan didn’t work, but more on that later…
Breckenridge offers both indoor and outdoor ice skating, so of course I opted for outdoor so I could fully experience being in such a gorgeous setting. I bundled up in a and my new and set out for my sporty winter day. Since I’m not used to such extreme cold, I brought some deep moisturizing lotion with me and I have to admit – it totally saved me. I’m pretty bad at applying lotion regularly even though I have super dry skin, but there’s no way I could forget it up north. The cold weather dried my skin out more than ever and I needed this lotion as bad as I needed vaseline on my lips. It seriously made a difference from the first time I used it. If you’re planning any winter trips this season, I can’t recommend bringing some deep moisture lotion enough!

The ice skating itself went pretty well. I didn’t fall at all! But I have been before in Atlanta and other places, so it wasn’t my first time or anything. I was still proud of myself though! It was so cool to see how many other fun winter sports Breck offers besides skiing. If you’re like me, you immediately just think of skiing when you hear Breckenridge, but there is seriously so much more. I can’t wait to share the other fun activities I did, plus a travel guide!
