It’s no secret that I’m not the most physically active person in the world. I sit at a desk all day at home and yoga is about as cray as it gets for me. But I’d be lying if I said I didn’t want to be more active. Let’s face it: working out sucks and is just plain boring, so it can be hard to make time for the necessary activity. I am always up for trying a new method, especially if it doesn’t feel like working out, which is exactly what Reebok’s new Immersive Fitness is.
The Project: Immersive Fitness is a new workout method where, you guessed it, the participant is fully immersed in the activity. With a big screen, responsive lighting, and fun equipment, Immersive Fitness is definitely going to be the new big thing in fitness. To get a better understanding of the concept check out this badass video:
But it’s not only high energy workouts that The Project offers. There’s even one workout where you’re immersed in a music festival crowd dancing to the “live performance”. Ummm, yes please.
Though they haven’t launched fitness centers quite yet, you can expect to see one near you within the next year or two. Until then, follow along on their official Instagram page.
Do you like working out? What is your favorite method?
The next level of fitness is here. IMMERSIVE FITNESS™ surrounds participants with cinema quality video content projected onto screens of a purpose-built studio. Exercise moves synchronize perfectly with music and graphics, creating a truly immersive fitness experience. Learn more!

That looks pretty cool – definitely more fun than a treadmill 🙂
(Although I will say that I love boxing like she’s doing at the beginning of the video!)

Haha for sure! I’ve never tried boxing, but it does look like a lot of fun!
