Wow, what a wild adventure! I can’t believe I was able to spend 4 days and 3 nights in Sabi Sands. Sabi Sands is a private game reserve in South Africa that borders Kruger National Park. There is no separation between them at all, so animals roam freely between the two. The difference is that Sabi Sands is private, while Kruger National Park is public. There are about 50 lodges in Sabi Sands, with only around 20-30 being open to paying guests. Since Sabi Sands is privately funded by guests at the luxurious private lodges, they have more budget allotted to keeping the animals safe from poachers.
I have so much to say about my time in Sabi Sands, but I’ll save that for my travel guide. For now, I just want to share these incredible photos Ryan took as a little preview.

These pictures are incredible! Would you mind sharing what type of lens Ryan used? Also, did you rent it from the lodge or bring your own? Thanks!
