I am so excited to share my newest project: The Lush Look! This brand new clothing rental subscription box has been in the works for a while now and after going through a few rounds of testing, the site is now live and ready for you! With brands like Vince, Scotch & Soda, Farm Rio, Derek Lam, and more there are so many great pieces to choose from!
How it works
The Lush Look is an unlimited clothing rental subscription box that makes it easy to wear new looks all month long without any commitment. From seasonal staples to statement pieces, rent endless styles for just $125/month. Click here to get your first month FREE!
Explore our collections and fill your virtual closet. Discover new favorites with fresh styles added weekly.
Receive 5 items at a time to wear for as long as you’d like, then return when you’re ready for more.
Switch up your look all month long with unlimited box exchanges, free dry cleaning, and free shipping.
Always have something new to wear with access to an endless wardrobe for one flat monthly fee.
Get first dibs on the latest looks and seasonal trends with fresh styles added weekly.
Enjoy free shipping both ways. A prepaid bag is included in every box.
Simply wear, return, and leave the rest to us. Laundry is always included.
When you don’t want to let an item go, you can buy it at a members-only price.
The Dart feature makes planning ahead easy! Select the exact pieces in your next box for a small fee.
How it’s different
I will say, it took some getting used to for me. I originally thought I’d pick out 5 items, hit submit, and they’d be here in a couple days. I was way off. It’s much more flexible and loose than that, which I’ve learned to love. Instead, you build your closet with items you love (using the hacks below!) and keep a revolving flow of new items as you wear and return them!
Of course, the main way it’s different is because it’s part of Lush to Blush! Woohoo! If you like my style, you can click on the “Get my Look” tab and see all the items I’ve rented in the past, plus my current rentals. This is a great starting point for browsing the site.
Hacks to maximize your closet
1. Make sure to add plenty of items to your closet. New arrivals are listed every Monday. At first, I could only find about 12 items I wanted and that were available in my size. Because of that, my shipments were broken up into smaller packages. Check back frequently because items are constantly being updated.
2. Add multiple sizes of items to your closet if you’re not 100% sure which size to pick. I do this often and just send back the size that’s not quite right.
3. Always return notify immediately! You don’t have to actually send items back in order to get the next shipment. So if you have 5 items at home, press return notify as soon as the package arrives and they’ll begin preparing your next shipment. Doing it this way, you can get 10 items at home! Then you can select any 5 to keep at home and any 5 to return to trigger your next box.
4. Plan ahead! Shipping take about 3-5 days in my experience, plus 2-3 days for them to get the box together and prep the shipment, so planning ahead is key, especially if you’re renting for a special occasion or a trip.
5. You can also plan ahead for future seasons. If you see a piece you love for fall but it’s still summer, add it to your closet and then place it on hold. When you’re ready, remove the hold and you’ll have first dibs!
I’ve been having so much fun with my new rental service and I hope you do too! Give it a try (for free!) and let me know what you think!
Have you ever tried a clothing rental subscription box?
