Last week, I had the luxury of attending an incredible fashion show event, complete with celebrity and fashion designer guests. I think it’s safe to say that we all know I love fashion, so attending this event was an awesome opportunity. I mingled with guests, hung out with fellow bloggers and sipped on specialty cocktails–all while watching the newest fall trends on the runway.

Some of my favorite trends included fall florals and sheer overlay:

I also loved this graphic, colorful print and military, leather-accented outerwear:

But all that fun wasn’t even the best part of the event. Jeffrey Fashion Cares is an Atlanta event held to raise awareness–and funds– for AIDS and breast cancer. This year’s event was the 21st Jeffrey Fashion Cares fashion show, and the results couldn’t have been better.

During the event I got to meet one of my favorite designers, Mychael Knight. I was ecstatic when I saw him across the room, but I think I held it together when I introduced myself.

Other fun sightings included Cynthia Bailey and Marlo Hampton of The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

Over the past 21 years, Jeffrey Fashion Cares (Atlanta and New York) has grown into one of the largest combined AIDS and breast cancer benefits in the country having raised over $11 million. Bespoke and Presenting Sponsors include: Nordstrom, Cousins, Dennis Dean a catering company, Eventologie, Jeffrey, Porsche, Carol & John Ellis, and The Atlantan.

What do you do to raise awareness in your area?
