It has now reached that point where we’re all ready to wear our fall outfits, but it’s too scorching hot to do so. So right now, I’m shopping for items that can work in the 100-degree heat, but will transition well into fall. This dress is the first piece that fit the bill for a late summer outfit. It’s a flowy maxi, so it’s great for summer, but the deep colors are totally fall tones.

I received an invite to check out the new lunch menu at a local restaurant and I was totally in fall mood when it came time to go. So since it was hot, I went with this striped maxi for my casual day lunch look. I feel like it was the perfect late summer outfit.

Since it is still summer, I wore it with some nude wedge sandals, a fun tropical bag, and some fab white palm leaf earrings. My naturally curly hair also adds to the overall carefree summer feel. For fall, I plan on pairing it with some cognac suede over-the-knee boots, my off-white furry jacket, and a chic leather bag. Ah, I’m so ready for some fall fashion!
