As someone with naturally curly hair, I have to worry about frizz a lot. I straighten my hair often, but split ends and fly aways make my hair look flat, tired and dead. I’ve tried countless products to get my hair to behave, but I haven’t been able to find something that eliminates frizz while maintaining the natural volume my curly hair brings. That is, until I tried L’Oreal Total Repair Extreme.
Total Repair Extreme does a good job of treating my hair to bring it back to health, which is really what helps tame frizz and boost volume. This is my first experience with L’Oreal hair products and I haven’t been using the line (shampoo, conditioner, extreme emergency recover mask, extreme split ends fixer) for very long, but so far I am definitely pleased with the results. I always enjoy lines that include multiple products that work together. It’s important to treat a problem every step of the way with complementary products. So far, so good!
Have you ever tried L’Oreal hair products? How did you like them?

I LOVE this line! I’ve tried so many different products but these (especially the hair mask!) are my favorites! I think we have very similar hair (curly, frizz-prone, damage-prone) so I’m not surprised you love them too!

Yay! So glad you had a good experience too – it can be so hard to find the right products when you have our hair type!

Strangely enough, I just started using this shampoo and conditioner last week. My hair is really thick and long, and not a lot of hair products do much to it. I didn’t see that much of a difference with just the shampoo and conditioner – my hair actually kinda seems dryer 🙁 But I want to try the recover mask though.

Yeah, I think it’s important to stick to the whole regimen. I’m sorry it didn’t help your hair though!! 🙁

I haven’t seen this particular line in any of my stores yet (perhaps they are not available in Canada yet?) but I would love to try it out. I love their L’oreal Expertise arginine resist line

Hmm that may be it. I got mine at Target. It’s really great though so you should try it if you can! Super affordable too 🙂

I used the mask just a couple weeks ago. I was using henna on my roots as a dye and decided to do a deep treatment with the recovery mask for the four hours I had the henna on, since henna usually makes my hair feel dry the first few days after I use it. I have curly, porous hair that is prone to dryness. Holy cow! My hair felt so soft, was beautifully shiny, and it actually looked like I had gotten a haircut because my curls were springing up so much, with no frizz. That stuff is awesome!

I just bought this line (only I got the Total Repair 5 Damage Erasing Balm instead of the mask because they didn’t have the mask and the Balm has some very good reviews). I’m hesitant to use it because this will be my first time using sulphates in almost 2 years, but my hair needs something, and obviously the sulphate-free stuff isn’t doing what I need it to. My hair is very fine and curly… and bleached and dyed demi, dyed permanent and bleached and dyed semi (it went from demi-black (over brown and purple) to demi-plum brown to permanent plum-brown to purple, blue and green in little under a year. Hoping this will work, if not I have to cut it and I really don’t want to do that.
