When it comes to shopping for home decor and kitchenware, there are some big box places that basically everyone goes to. In fact, it feels like every time I go to a friend’s house, I see something that I also own (or used to own). Now that I’m getting older and more into home decor and hosting friends at home, I’ve found that I’d rather spend my money on really cute and unique home pieces instead of a new dress or pair of shoes. Discovering the super cute online boutique Lulu & Georgia definitely contributes to that urge. *use code blush20 for 20% off from Lulu & Georgia
Lulu & Georgia carries super cool pieces, from rustic, like the cutting board I got to glam like the rose gold utensils pictured below. It’s the perfect combo of classic, modern and eclectic. So obviously, I went on a little shopping spree there and this is the result.
{ cutting board // rose gold salad bowl // rose gold salad servers // rose gold cheese set // gold accent cocktail set }
I set up this spread for lunch with my boyfriend Johnny, who also happens to be my photographer. We made my favorite homemade pizza and a tasty kale salad – both of which I plan to post the recipes for soon! It was the perfect lunch – thank you Lulu & Georgia for also making it pretty!
Where do you shop for home decor and kitchenware?

I love all of the pieces you chose! I would love to host some brunches or get-togethers at my place, but I don’t have any cute dishes or kitchenware. I’ve been slowly but surely trying to get some new pieces though. I can’t wait to see your recipe for your homemade pizza. It looks delish!

Thanks!! Yeah, these pieces are perfect for brunch! Now that I’m getting more and more home items, I’ll definitely start hosting even more!

The silverware is so pretty (and that salad, OMG, that salad!)! I can’t wait to one day afford my own place and fill it with pretty decor and kitchenware. Right now I’m just using my grandma’s old pots, pans, and ceramics. Retro, but a bit out of date, haha
January 28, 2015 @ 3:22 pm
That sounds awesome!! I think it’s good to have a mix of old and new 🙂

Gosh this is all so beautiful. Why is your entire life so darn pretty?! I’m not at the point in my life yet where I’m buying dishes or home decor yet, but personally I love distressed wood and plain white dish wear.

Aww thank you!!! It’s not all pretty, I just only post the pretty stuff haha. But thank you! I looove distressed wood and white too! 🙂

I love the cutting board too! I agree, I am much more apt to buy something for the home, then on something for myself. I love having parties, and having nice things to use at the parties always makes it a special night.

So true!! Having pretty pieces like this makes everything better!
